| Enerpac Nut to Stud Size Chart |
|
|
Please refer to API TR 6AF, TR 6AF1, TR 6AF2, API Spec 6FA for flange performance of bolt preload stress and other factors
A few factors to consider with stud-stress and nut torque relationship:
1. Form and thread dimensions 2. Flange face, nut and stud surface finish 3 Thread coatings, lubrication type and nut bearing surface areas.
Two friction coefficients are used in the chart. 0.07 and 0.13
Use 0.07 when threads, nut face are coated with fluoropolymer material Use 0.13 when material in question is bare metal and is well-lubricated with thread compound meeting ISO 13678
The most commonly used materials meet ASTM A 193 Grades B7 and B7M. If other materials are to be used, Torque values can be calculated by taking the ratio of the new material's yield strength to the calculated material's yield strength.
Use only Heavy-duty Impact Sockets for power driven torqueing equipment, according to ISO 2725 and ISO 1174; DIN 3129 and DIN 3121 or ASME-B107.2/1995.
OZAT Sockets, made in Israel, have proven to be the toughest, stongest, longest lasting socket in the market and no other manufacturer offers as wide of a selection of sockets. Down Laod Catalog 2 MB
